Multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor and former lead vocalist of “Rivermaya” Rico Blanco finally fulfilled the request of his followers on Twitter account with his own version of Wrecking Ball the hit song of former Hannah Montana Disney Princess Miley Cyrus.
4o-year-old Rico Blanco is a Filipino rock icon who rose to fame for being a multi-talented artist.
Rico Blanco is not just a singer but he has a lot of skills aside from that such as being a host, entrepreneur, actor, song writer, multi-instrumentalist to where he plays, Guitar, Keyboard, B(–foul word(s) removed–), Synthesizers, Drums, and Percussion.
As he cover the “Wrecking Ball,” Rico Blanco recreated the song through using guitar, xylophone, and a mug.
Rico Blanco didn’t made it just to entertain his viewers, but it is also his own effort to help victims of super typhoon Yolanda with International name Haiyan as an exchange of donations for the victims.
This idea made up because a lot of his followers requested for his “Wrecking Ball” rendition.
The video has three text to where Rico Blanco explained why he chose to cover “Wrecking Ball.”
“Once in a while, I receive requests to record cover versions of other artists’ songs. Though I think it would be fun, I rarely get to do it as I usually prefer recording my new compositions.
Two weeks ago, in exchange for twitter followers’ donations of any form or amount to typhoon Haiyan relief efforts, I promised to finally record a song or two from among their requests of even the most unusual songs for me to cover.
One of the songs requested was Wrecking Ball.”
