The Top 8 Finalist of the Miss Earth 2013 underwent a tough Question and Answer portion to determine who among the candidates is worthy to be crown as this year’s Miss Earth winner.
Here’s the Question and Answer Portion in no particular order:
Question for Philippines: It’s been a month since Haiyan hit the Philippines, how do you think mother Earth feels now?
Answer of Philippines: It feels like Mother earth is really sad. I think typhoon Yolanda happened as a wake up call for us to realize that we must take care of one another and we must take care of one another for the generations to come.
Question for Venezuela: How does eco tourism contribute to the protection of the environment?
Answer of Venezuela: Because we people are responsible also for destruction our nature. We need to be aware and take care of mother earth.
Question for Poland: In your opinion, why does God allow natural disasters to happen?
Answer of Poland: Because I think God wants to show bad people how to love. Our God love everyone and I think in our world should be wrong side and good side.
Question for Thailand: Aside from Climate Change, what is the biggest threat to mother Earth?
Answer of Thailand: It is human behavior. What ever human behavior influences the environment. It is going to affect the environment around the world. It is going to affect the whole world.
Question for Mexico: What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your life?
Answer of Mexico: One of the most risky things I’ve done is joining this pageant. This is a contest that is for a cause. It is one way of letting people know about environmental care.
Question for Korea: So many diff forms of discrimination today. What do you think is the worst one?
Answer of Korea: I don’t think there is a worse. Any kind of discrimination is bad.
Questions for Austria by Iza Calzado: “What do you think is the best invention that has made our world a better place to live in?” Austria: “Solar Energy.”
Austria: I have to say there are many great inventions. For me it’s solar energy. We should all stick to solar energy.
