Alicia Keys Visits Typhoon Survivors at Villamor AirBase (Photos)

International singing icon and Grammy-winning artist Alicia Keys showed her comp(–foul word(s) removed–)ion with the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) as she visited the Villamor Airbase on Monday, November 25, 2013, a few hours before her concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Photos of Alicia Keys went viral immediately on various social networking sites after some of her photos taken at Villamor Airbase were posted on the official Facebook page of the Philippine Information Agency-National Capital Region (PIA-NCR).

The 32-year-old Alicia Keys was wearing a white shirt and jeans, she was seen handing out school supplies to the children who are victims of super typhoon Yolanda temporarily seeking shelter at the Philippine Air Force Headquarters.

The short-haired Alicia Keys was also seen speaking with Director Alice Bonoan of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-NCR. The PIA-NCR confirmed to the media that Alicia Keys “donated some crayons and other stuff for children” during her visit.

Alicia Keys arrived in Manila on Sunday night for the scheduled Monday concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena billed as “Set the World on Fire.” The international R & B star said she is hoping “to bring hope for the Filipino people” during her second visit to the country.

Alicia Keys is best known for her hits such as “Karma,” “Fallin,” “Unbreakable,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” “No One,” “Empire State of Mind” and “Girl on Fire.”
