The Civil Service Commission of the Philippines announced through a news bulletin forwarded to us from the CSC Central Office that Honor Graduates such as Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude graduates may qualify for the Honor Graduate Eligibility of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), depending on the status of their completed degree.
According to CSC Resolution No. 1302214 CSC clarified that the Bachelor’s Degree must be recognized by the Commission on Higher Education for those who graduated in private universities and colleges in the country; for those of state and local universities and colleges, the degrees should be included in their charter or approved by their Board of Trustees/Regents.
The Honor Graduate eligibility is a civil service eligibility granted pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 907 upon fulfilling the prescribed qualification and documentary requirements.

Summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude graduates may qualify for the Honor Graduate eligibility of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), depending on the status of their completed degree.CSC Resolution No. 1302214 clarified that the bachelor’s degree must be recognized by the Commission on Higher Education for those who graduated in private universities and colleges in the country; for those of state and local universities and colleges, the degree should be included in their charter or approved by their Board of Trustees/Regents.The eligibility grant shall cover college graduates with Latin honors summa cum laude, magna cum laude, or cum laude. Honors or distinctions other than the said Latin honors are not covered. Moreover, honor graduates of master’s and doctorate degrees are also not covered.The CSC added that those who completed their college degrees less than the usual four or five years would still qualify as the eligibility grant shall apply “regardless of the number of years of completion.”Applications for the grant of Honor Graduate eligibility are processed by the CSC Regional Office with jurisdiction over the university or college in which the applicant has graduated. The directory of CSC Regional Offices may be accessed at the CSC websitewww.csc.gov.ph.The Honor Graduate eligibility is a civil service eligibility granted pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 907 upon fulfilling the prescribed qualification and documentary requirements. can i ask what is mean by list of graduates to be p(removed)ed to the CSC for the requirement of honor graduate as cum laude? because i just comply it to the registrar of our school but then they give me a certification of cum laude not the list of honor graduates, their reason is that it is just the same as required.

Asked them to give you the full list of honor graduates from your college, have it signed by them and then proceed to your CSC provincial office for processing, given your personal documents are ready
how about to those students who are not graduate with honors, can they worked on CSC? what are the action or what are the things should they do and prepare?

If in case the recipient of this Honor Graduate Eligibility decides to take the Civil Service Examination for professional and will not p(removed) the examination, would it be a ground for his/her disqualification of the previous eligibility she received?
