The Civil Service Commission through their official representative made a Press Release for the upcoming Civil Service Exam for Fire and Foreign Service which will be conducted this coming December 15, 2013.
The Examination will be conducted in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Fire Officer Examination is open to both incumbent BFP personnel and private individuals who are interested to join the fire protection service.
Aside from the Fire Officer Examination, the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) will be conducted also this coming December 15, 2013. The examination is also open for Filipino citizens who meets the requirements needed by the Civil Service Commission.

Civil service exams for fire and foreign service officers setThe Civil Service Commission (CSC) will conduct the Fire Officer Examination (FOE) and Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) on Dec. 15 this year.Conducted in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Fire Officer Examination is open to both incumbent BFP personnel and private individuals who are interested to join the fire protection service.Applicants for the FOE must be Filipino citizens; at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application; physically and mentally fit; of good moral character; have not been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude; and have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government. Moreover, applicants with pending administrative and/or criminal cases may take the examination, however, this is without prejudice to forfeiture of the resulting eligibility should they p(–foul word(s) removed–) the examination but are later convicted.Applicants should submit properly accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100, Revised November 2012), which can be downloaded from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph, together with other application requirements. Exam fee is PHP700.Applications may be filed at any of the following CSC regional offices and their respective field offices: CSC Regional Office (RO) 1, San Fernando City, La Union; CSCRO 5, Legaspi City; CSCRO 6, Iloilo City; CSCRO 7, Cebu City; CSCRO 8, Palo, Leyte; CSCRO 9, Zamboanga City; CSCRO 10, Cagayan de Oro City; CSCRO 11, Davao City; and CSC NCR, Doña Josefa, Quezon City.The resulting Fire Officer Eligibility shall be considered appropriate for second level ranks in the fire protection service and functionally related positions only. Ranks in the Philippine National Police are not covered.Meanwhile, the Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer is open to Filipino citizens who meet the following qualifications: permanent residency in the Philippines for at least one year; not more than 35 years old at the time of the examination; at least a bachelor’s degree graduate; with at least two-year work experience or further studies or a combination of both after college graduation; knowledgeable on the Philippine economic, political, and social conditions; willing to accept (–foul word(s) removed–)ignment to any post; has oral and written communications facility; and possesses personality traits needed to perform as foreign service officer. However, the age limit does not apply to those who have been employed in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) or Foreign Service Institute for at least two years prior to the date of the CSE-FSO.Application forms may be downloaded from the DFA website www.dfa.gov.ph.Applications should be submitted in person at any DFA Regional Consular Office, or Philippine emb(–foul word(s) removed–)ies and consulates abroad byNov. 8; or at the DFA Board of Foreign Service Examinations, Pasay City by 5 p.m. on Nov. 15. Application fee is PHP500.The CSE-FSO serves both as a qualifying test and an eligibility examination. As a qualifying test, it forms the first part of the five-part FSO Examination administered by the DFA. This means that p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing the CSE-FSO is a requisite to be able to proceed to the succeeding parts of the FSO Examination, which are the Preliminary Interview, Written Test, Psychological Test, and Oral Test, all administered by the DFA.As an eligibility examination, p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers of the CSE-FSO shall simultaneously be conferred the Career Foreign Service Officer Eligibility. This eligibility is appropriate to first and second level positions in the government that do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by Bar, board, and other laws.There will be nine testing centers for the CSE-FSO.
