The Miss Universe Philippines candidate Ariella Arida showcased her beauty during the Preliminary Round of the Miss Universe 2013 competition on Tuesday night at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow Russia. The Preliminary round features the 86 official candidates on their swimsuit and evening dresses.
The competition started with the introduction of the 62nd Miss Universe candidates in alphabetical order followed by the swimsuit parade and the evening gown presentation. The Preliminary judges chooses their favorite semi-finalists or the Top 16 candidates that will be announce in the Finals night this coming November 9, 2013 (Moscow Time).
The scores in the Preliminary competition will added to the official scores gathered through online voting in the official Miss Universe 2013 poll. Ara Arida of the Philippines is considered as one of the top contenders in the world’s most famous beauty pageant after her appearance in major pre-pageant activities of the Miss Universe.
During the Preliminary Round of the competition, Arida was also one of the most applauded candidates aside from the hometown favorites Russia. Aside from the Philippines and Russia the stand outs during the preliminary round were candidates from Myanmar, Indonesia, India, USA, Spain, and Australia based upon the number of applause from the live audience.
