Jeron Teng’s Acting Debut on Got To Believe Conquers Twitter (Video)

UAAP Finals MVP and ABS-CBN contract star Jeron Teng made his acting debut on the top-rating series, “Got To Believe” on Wednesday night featuring him as a campus heartthrob in Malaya University, the school of Joaquin and Chichay.

Jeron Teng’s debut on ABS-CBN’s teleserye created a buzz online as the hashtag, #G2BMyMVP conquered the top-trending topics in the Philippines aside from the name of the La Salle superstar making it to the top ten trending topics in the country.

The 19-year-old Jeron Teng played the role of Allen Chua, the star cager in the University where Joaquin (Daniel Padilla) and Chichay (Kathryn Bernardo) are schooling. During Wednesday’s episode of G2B, Chichay is seen bringing Joaquin to the campus basketball court, the pair watches student athletes in a heated match.

During Chichay and Joaquin’s conversation, Chichay was quoted as saying that, “Yan ang superstar ng basketball team natin dito sa Malaya University. In fairness ah, cute siya in person,” Chichay tells Joaquin, referring to Allen.

The first-ever appearance of Jeron Teng already created a stir online because of his popularity as a UAAP athlete. During the previous interviews with ABS-CBN, Jeron admitted that he is thrilled to join the Kapamilya series as a cast member but his priority remains his collegiate basketball career. Jeron Teng was instrumental on La Salle’s victory over UST in the UAAP Finals defeating even his own brother, Jeric Teng.
