Eduardo Pajinag Jr.: Winner of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” 2013

The third’s leading TV Network in the country, TV5 added another millionaire on their list as Eduardo Gaeilo Pajinag, Jr., was declared as the winner of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” on Sunday, October 20, 2013.

The 24-year-old UST alumnus finally won the grand prize of P2 million after failing to become a contestant of the top-rating game show for seventh straight times. On his eight audition he was accepted and brought home the much-coveted prize, due to his persistence and consistency.

Eduardo Pajinag became the third winner of TV5’s “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” following the footsteps of Sharon Cuneta who won last January 2010 and IT Specialist Karl Aguilar, the winner of the September 2011 edition of the show.

During the time of his ascension to the P600,000 level he already used his four lifelines, such as “Ask the People,” “Switch,” “50-50,” and “Double Dip.” The UST alumnus pushed his luck further and bravely took on the P1 million question: “Kung ang ibig sabihin ng Trinoma ay Triangle North of Manila, ano naman ang Tribeca sa America?” he successfully chose the correct answer which is “Triangle Below Canal.”

The last question for the P2 million prize was, “Ano ang pamagat ng poem ni Lewis Carroll na ginamitan ng nonsense words?” Gaelo answed with “Jabberwocky,” which was also the correct answer. During the interview made by Bossing Vic Sotto, the winner confessed that he remembers the world-famous all-male hip-hop dance group, the Jabbawockeez, as having admitted in an interview that they took their name from Lewis Carrol poem.
