The Philippines longest-running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya was chosen as one of the nominees in the world’s prestigious International EMMY Awards for the year 2013. The announcement of ABS-CBN’s inclusion in the International Emmy’s was made through the official website of the Emmy’s.
Maalaala Mo Kaya is the lone representative from the Philippines who will compete against three other shows from Brazil, France and United Kingdom for the Best Drama Series category.
The International Emmys World Festival and the Interanational Emmy Awards Gala will be held in New York City, USA. The International Emmy Awards Gala will be held this coming November 25, 2013.
During the event, the Emmy Awards will feature world-cl(–foul word(s) removed–) producers and directors who will speak about their work. According to previous records the International Emmy attracted more than 1,000 major figures in broadcast, entertainment and media from around the world.

During the 2012 edition of the International Emmy, the Philippines entries includes 24 Oras and I Witness. This year’s entry from the Philippines will have a chance to showcase its talents as ABS-CBN celebrates its 60th successful years in the Philippine media industry.
