The Philippine Azkals will host the 2013 edition of the Philippine Peace Cup to be held this coming October 11-15, 2013 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The Azkals will battle against three invited teams, they will face Chinese Taipei national football team on October 11, while on October 13, the Azkals will host the visiting Pakistan national football team. Despite the absence of one more team in the Philippine Peace, the host is optimistic that the competition will serve its purpose of promoting peace through football.
The Bacolod City hosting of the annual invitational football competition is part of the Philippines preparation in the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup 2014 in Maldives. The Azkals is currently the highest-ranked team in the three-team Philippine Peace Cup with FIFA Rankings at 141st while Chinese Taipei ranked at 175th and Pakistan at 170th ranking worldwide.
The Philippine Peace Cup 2013 will be held at the Panaad Stadium, the Visayas and Mindanao’s largest football field with a seating capacity of 12,000 spectators. The stadium is the venue of the Azkals’ historic win against Mongolia on Februay 9, 2011 and the 2007 ASEAN Football Championship and the 2005 Southeast Asian Games.
