University of Santo Tomas ace defender and offensive player Kevin Ferrer discovered and revealed Jeron Teng’s weaknesses, one of La Salle’s scoring stalwarts.
Kevin Ferrer is now on its third season in the UAAP Men’s basketball team of the UST Growling Tigers. They were able to defeat the La Salle Green Archers during their first game in the UAAP Season 76 Finals with the final score at 73-72.
The UST top-scorer during the Game 1 of the UAAP Finals, Kevin Ferrer outplayed the two-time UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks during their encounter in the Final Four. He is now tasked to guard La Salle’s top-scoring Jeron Teng, the brother of Ferrer’s team mate Jeric Teng.
During the Game 1 of the UAAP Finals, Kevin Ferrer successfully defended Jeron Teng, allowing the younger Teng to score with just 15 points. Jeron Teng, the former Rookie of the year made only five of his 14 attempts from inside the arc.
Kevin Ferrer revealed that he already knew the weaknesses of Jeron Teng, since they were teammates in the Philippines Youth Team. Aside from being teammate with Jeron, the brother of La Salle’s guard, Jeric Teng gave tips to Kevin on how to guard Jeron Teng.
The UST Growling Tigers superstar Kevin Ferrer did not only made important contributions in the defensive side of the UST but he is also a huge boost offensively topscoring for the Tigers with 20 points during the Game 1 of the UAAP Finals.
