The 16-year-old singer got the attention of X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland and Demi Lovato after Ellona’s rendition of the song popularized by Little Mix.
Judge Kelly Rowland was so surprised with the audition performance of Ellona because the Filipino-American seemed shy when they were talking to her prior to her performance.

Kelly Rowland: “She meant business. Wow!”
Simon Cowell: “Ellona, I will remember this name, Ellona Santiago. You are the girl I think I wanna work with mostly in this competition.”
