The Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will bring home a guaranteed $18 million on his mega fight against protagonist Brandon “Bambam” Rios this coming November 24 in Asia’s fastest-rising boxing venue in Macau, China.
According to Top Rank Chief Executive Bob Arum, the former pound-for-pound king, “Pacman” is already guaranteed $18 million, while his opponent Brandon Rios will earn a flat fee of $4 million.
If Manny Pacquiao will do good enough he could get around $30 million on his fight against “Bambam” Rios. The $30 million is still far enough from the $41 million earned by boxing icon and Pacman’s fiercest rival the unbeaten, Floyd Mayweather Jr., against Alvarez last Saturday at the MGM Grand.
Meanwhile according to some international boxing journalists the fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather is unlikely to happen, especially after the humiliating knockout loss of Pacquiao against Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
The boxing promoter of Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum counseled Manny from time to time that he should not look ahead to the next fight but instead he must concentrate on Brandon Rios right now. After Pacquioa’s fight with Rios there will be plenty of time on who he will fight next according to Arum.
