The World Thinnest Keyboard

thinnest keyboard

Wireless technology firm Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) has released a wireless keyboard with a Bluetooth 4.0 chip that is just 0.5mm thick that can be used to extend touch-sensitive areas of tablets and smartphones without carrying a large battery aiding in that ultra-thin design.

The keyboard’s touchscreen capabilities mean users can swipe, pinch, zoom and use other complex gestures unavailable with normal keyboards that it considers as an all-in-one interface device.

The keyboard is made with electronic circuits that you can actually custom-print it using inkjet printer technology.  This is good for people who want to customize their keyboard using their own language and modify to facilitate functions including video editing and navigation or for an encoder who wants the keys in a more optimized sequence.

The problem of this technology is that it might go missing over a pile of documents on your table and it won’t be available to consumers for at least a year.
