Ateneo Defeated UE Eliminated the Warriors in UAAP Final 4

The Ateneo Blue Eagles defeated the University of the East Red Warriors with the final score at 77-72 and bolstered its final four bid on Sunday and ended the Warriors dreams of making it to the final four of the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament.

Ateneo’s superstar Kiefer Ravena powered his wayto season-high 22 points, making some of the most important shots in the pivotal third quarter attack for the Blue Eagles as they are looking for a final’s repeat and depend their 5-time UAAP title.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles is currently tied with the University of the East Growling Tigers at fourth spot with 7-5 win-loss card. The Eagles erased a 12-point deficit and seized the momentum.

Chris Newsome of Ateneo added with 19 points and 8 rebounds performance. On The UE’s part, Roi Sumang scored with 20 points in the first half but he was injured and didn’t see his team’s campaign through the final quarter of the UAAP Season 76. Roi Sumang scored with a total of 27 points, 4 rebounds, 5 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists and 2 steals.

The UE Red Warriors bowed out of the competition with a 5-8 win-loss card.
