La Salle Defeated NU 57-55 Enters UAAP 76 Final Four

The DLSU Green Archers clinched a Final Four berths in the UAAP Season 76 after their comeback victory over the National University Bulldogs with the final score at 57-55 in a game held on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

La Salle superstar cager Jeron Teng scored off a putback of his own miss with just 44 seconds to go to put La Salle ahead for good, 56-55. The NU had several chances to regain the lead, but former UAAP MVP Ray Parks missed two jumpers in the final minute and Villamor also bricked a potential go-ahead jumper.

The victory of the DLSU Green Archers ended the six winning streak of NU Bulldogs, while the Green Archers won their sixth consecutive game. Right now there’s a three-way tie for the first place in the league standings between La Salle, NU, and FEU having 9-4 records.

Jeron Teng scored with 21 points and was 8-of-13 from the free throw line and scoring the most important shot of the game. Ray Parks scored with 19 points for the Bulldogs.

 

With La Salle’s victory over the NU Bulldogs, the Green Archers clinched a slot in the much-coveted Final Four of the UAAP Season 76.
