Adamson Defeated Winless UP 67-53 Ends Sixth Game Losing Streak

The Adamson University Falcons ended their six-games losing streak and continued to put it’s opposing team, the UP Fighting Maroons winless in the UAAP Basketball tournament held on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The Falcons improved their record to 4-8 win-loss card while the UP Maroons remained winless in a total of 10 games in UAAP Season 76.

The Adamson vs. UP games ended with the final score at 67-53, with Adamson’s Roider Cabrera and Jansen Rios picking up the scoring load during the first quarter of the game for a 20-14 advantage.

During the second quarter, Don Trollano scored with 10 points extending the Falcon’s lead to 11 before the start of the second half. UP managed to close with a striking distance against Adamson at 36-39 but the Falcons regained momentum through its tough interior defense and dominant rebounding.

Although Adamson missed their starter Jericho Cruz in the game, center Ingrid Sewas scored with 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Falcons while Roider Cabrera scored with 17 points for his team.
