Emman Monfort Scored Career-High as Barako Bull Defeated Ginebra 104-91

Sensational rookie guard Emman Monfort scored his career high 25 points to lead the Barako Bull in an impressive 104-91 victory against the PBA’s most popular team, Ginebra San Miguel on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Monfort was able to set a new career-high for the second time in three games, giving the Energy Colas three-straight wins. He dominated the match-up against Gilas point guard LA Tenorio, who struggled with just 4 points after Tenorio’s explosion against Meralco on Saturday.

Barako Bull import Mike Singletary led Barako Bull with 38 points and 17 rebounds, winning his own individual matchup against Ginebra’s Dior Lowhorn, who finished with 30 points and 9 rebounds.

With Barako Bull’s victory, the team is currently tied with Petron at the top of the team standing with similar 3-1 win-loss records in the PBA Governors Cup 2013. Billy Mamaril and Mark Caguioa scored with 14 and 13 points respectively for Ginebra, which lost for the second time in three outings.
