The PBA Commissioner announced earlier that the GlobalPort vs. San Mig Coffee and Talk ‘N Text vs. Alaska games were already cancelled “due to floods and the continuing inclement weather.” The Friday’s game on the other other hand will push through.
The games on Friday for the Governors Cup will feature, the Alaska Aces on their conference-debut going up against GlobalPort Batang Pier at around 5:15 PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The second game at around 7:30 PM will feature Petron Blaze going up against the depending champion Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Meanwhile the Wednesday schedule between the Tropang Texters and the Mixers, they have to wait four more days to return to their hardcourt and will take on each other at the Mall of Asia Arena this coming Sunday.
The PBA also announced that the information on when the postponed games will be played as well as arrangements for ticket holders will be announced soon. The Wednesday’s suspension of PBA games is the first time since 2008 when the games were also postponed due to typhoon “Frank.”
