Allein Maliksi Traded to San Mig Coffee from Barako Bull

The high-flying Barako Bull swingman Allein Maliksi was already traded to San Mig Coffee after the PBA approved the deal sending Maliksi to the Coffee Mixers in exchange for Wesley Gonzales, Chris Pacana, and a 2017 second round pick.

According to San Mig Coffee head coach Tim Cone, the lure of adding a talent like Allein Maliksi was too good to p(–foul word(s) removed–) up. He was quoted as saying that, “I’ve always felt he was a super talent and when his name was mentioned as available, we jumped at him,” Cone wrote in a text message to InterAKTV.

Allein Maliksi is a former UST Growling Tigers standout who is expected to play in the San Mig Coffee Mixers’ game on Saturday against the Air21 Express.

Coach Tim Cone added that although he had originally wanted an intact team heading into the Governors’ Cup, but he pulled a trigger on the deal because Maliksi was too good of a young prospect to p(–foul word(s) removed–) up. Maliksi is expected to solidify the future of San Mig and his versatility will help James Yap and PJ Simon.
