Chinese Taipei Defeated China 96-78 Enters Semis (Highlights Video)

The Chinese Taipei national basketball team defeated China in a spectacular fashion, coming back from 17 points deficit and marched into the semifinals of FIBA Asia with a historic 97-78 victory by Chinese Taipei over powerhouse China.

The defeat of China is their first ever loss against fellow East Asian rival Taiwan. China is the highest-ranked team in Asia, the depending champion of FIBA Asia 2013.

The Chinese Taipei recalled their previous victory when they were down by 10 points against Jordan, against the Philippines with 13 points, and in China they we’re down by 10 points and made a remarkable comeback and march to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Taiwan was down by 17 points, but a late run and a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Hung Chih-Shan from just inside halfcourt to cut the deficit to just 10 points. Chinese Taipei naturalized center Quincy Davis scored with 26 points and 10 rebounds, dominating against the bigger Chinese frontcourt.
