Thousands of fans lined up at the Mall of Asia Arena ticket booth just to secure their tickets for the knockout quarterfinals round featuring the top eight teams in the 27th FIBA Asia Championships.
According to an interview by Inquirer.net with one of the SM Tickets’ branch at SM Fairview, only the general admissions tickets for Saturday’s game while lower, upper and gen ad sections for Sunday were available.
Some of the fans who could not secure their tickets for the Friday’s game of the Gilas Pilipinas have purchased tickets for the next games of the national team despite the fact that the Gilas is still unsure that they can make it to the finals of the tournament. Filipinos just trust that the Philippines could make it to the Top 4 if not the finals of FIBA Asia.
