FEU Tamaraws Sweeps UAAP First Round 7-0 by Defeating Adamson

The Far Eastern Universtiy Tamaraws defeated the Adamson Falcons and sweeps the first round of the UAAP Season 76 first round of elimination with the final score 74-71.

Tamaraws’ superstar Terrence Romeo topscored for his team with a season-high 26 points and came up with clutch baskets at the remaining few seconds of the game. The FEU Tamaraws currently leads the team standing with an unblemished record of 7-wins and 0 loss.

The Tamaraws made a history as the team swept the first round of the tournament for the first time since UAAP Season 73. Adamson’s record, on the other hand, dropped to 3-4.

The FEU Tamaraws was leading 49-44 during the third period, but the Falcons ended the quarter through their remarkable 11-5 run to take the lead at 56-54 before the final and fourth quarter of the game. The Falcons last hold of the lead was at around 8:35 mark in the fourth quarter with the score at 61-58.

The FEU Tamaraws went on with an 11-2 run with the leadership of Terrence Romeo, the Falcons had their chances to cut into the lead but their big man Ingrid Sewa flubbed his attempts at the free line. The Falcons also came close at 69-71, but Romeo drilled his back-breaking three-pointer in the next FEU possession.
