The TMS-Philippine Army secured the first semis berth of the Philippine Super Liga Women’s Volleyball tournament by overpowering PCSO-Bingo Milyonaryo with and came away with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-11 in a game held at the Philsports Arena.
The Army Lady Troopers made a remarkable game with the use of superb set plays and quick (–foul word(s) removed–)aults as they completed the straight-set victory for their fourth straight win after dropping their opening game against Cagayan Valley Rising Suns.
The Army secured their seat in the Final Four of the tournament, through the coordinated effort of Jacquelin Alarca and Joanne Bunag who fire 11 and 10 hits respectively. Their ace spikers Michelle Carolina and Mary Jean Balse struggled during their match-up against PCSCO.
The PCSCO Puffins dropped to 1-4 in team standing together with the PLDT-MyDSL, however, they have to wait for the outcome of the final match between Cagayan Valley and Petron to determine their placing in the playoffs.
