Air21 Express and Meralco Bolts completed a four-player on Thursday night, the Express will send former top pick Noy Baclao and swingman John Wilson to Meralco in exchange for rookie forward Vic Manuel and veteran center Carlo Sharma.
The trade between Meralco and Air21 was confirmed by Air21 official Lito Alvarez confirmed to InterAKTV the transaction, which now for approval by the PBA.
Noy Baclao and John Wilson joined the Air21 Express in a blockbuster deal prior to the season as part of Air21’s buildup. Vic Manuel spent one conference with the Bolts as part of Meralco’s trade to send Sol Mercado to GlobalPort.
John Wilson will be reunited with Meralco consultant Jong Uichico, his former coach with the Jose Rizal University during Wilson’s college days. Carlo Sharma will be reunited also with his old college coach in college, Franz Pumaren, one of Air21’s coaches.
This is Meralco’s second major deal after the Commissioner’s Cup. Last month, the Bolts received Jared Dillinger from Talk ‘N Text and Don Allado from Barako Bull in a deal that saw them give up Ronjay Buenafe and Gilbert Bulawan.
