Rep. Manny Pacquiao No. 1 Absentee Congressman

The Philippines’ boxing superstar and current lawmaker, Rep. Manny Pacquiao is considered as the no. 1 Congressman who earned the distinction of racking the biggest number of absences during the 15th Congress.

Rep. Pacquiao’s absences are equivalent to five session months as the House holds just three session days a week. By contrast only 21 of the 290 total members of the House had perfect attendance.

The sportsman congressman from Sarangani Province tied with Negros Occidental Rep. Julio Ledesma IV, who was also absent for 60 days out of the 168 total sessions based upon the records from the House of Representatives.
