The mother of Charice, Raquel Pempengco stated on Friday that she has long accepted that her daughter Charice is a lesbian and there’s no need to apologize to her.
Raquel was quoted as saying that, “Matagal na namin ‘yun alam. Hindi niya na kailangang mag-sorry (We’ve long known that. She doesn’t need to apologize).” Charice came out as a lesbian during a TV guesting in The Buzz.
During a phone interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer, Raquel Pempengo, admitted that she tried asking Charice to keep her sexual preference a secret for the sake of her career. Although she accepted Charice sexual preference but she tried her best convince Charice.
With regards to his current rift with her daughter, Raquel stated that if Charice wants to come forward and patch things up with her, its Charice choice and not her. According to Raquel Charice was the one who changed and left her.
For Raquel whatever happens, she is always here for Charice because she is still her daughter and she loved Charice so much.
