The May 2013 General Elections will declare a total of 233 District Representatives from 17 Regions in the country. The Lower House or the House of Representative are divided into district representatives representing a particular geographical area.
There are 233 legislative districts in the Philippines, each district composed of about 250,000 people. The other members of the House of Representatives were the party-list representatives elected through the party-list system, they constitute not more than 20% of the total number of Representatives.
