Reelectionist Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was raised and born in Caloocan City. He was more popularly known as Sonny Trillanes, the son of Philippine Navy Captain Antonio Floranza and Estelita Fuentes.
During his term as Senator, he is considered as the most productive p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing at least 31 bills p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed into law. He is the fourth most productive Senator in the Upper House of the Legislative Branch of government.
The 41-year-old Antonio Trillanes is married to PMA Corps of professors, Arlene G. Orejana. They were gifted with 3 childrean, Francis Seth, Thea Estelle and the late Alan Andrew. Senator Trillanes studied at Sienna College in Quezon City during his elementary years and graduated his secondary course at the Angelicum School.
During his college years he studied at the De La Salle University in Manila for his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Computer Engineering. On his third year, he p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the PMA entrance exam and entered into public service as a cadet for the Philippine Military Academy wherein he graduated cum laude in 1995. He earned a degree in BS Naval System Engineering. He also achieved a Masters degree in Public Administration, majoring in Policy and Program management in 2002.
After the failed Oakwood Mutinee in which he was one of the leaders, he entered politics in 2007 by filing to run as Senator. He was proclaimed Senator-elect in June 2007 although he campaign while incarcerated. He was imprisoned for 7.5 years but he was granted with Amnesty in 2010 by Pres. Aquino and allowed to enter the Senate and perform his duties as a duly elected Senator.
