Brother Eddie C. Villanueva, is a former Presidential candidate who lost twice during his attempt to run for the highest position in the country. He was ranked last during the 2004 elections, in an election which is full of controversy after Pres. Arroyo won the election.

The 66-year-old Eddie Villanueva is the founder of the religious group, Jesus is Lord Movement. He was married to Adoracion “Dory” Villanueva, they have had three children; Eduardo “Jon-Jon” Villunueva, Jr., Emmanuel Joel Villanueva and Joni Villanueva-Tugna.

He is the owner and chairman of ZOE Broadcasting Network, a commercial TV station currently operated by GMA Network through QTV, now GMA News TV. Bro. Eddie is also the owner and president of Jesus is Lord Colleges Foundation Inc. (JILCF), a Christian school in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Bro. Eddie is best known as an activist during the Martial Law, he fought local landgrabbers in Bulacan which resulted in her incarceration twice. During the 1973 “life changing encounter,” he became a preacher and founded the Jesus Is Lord Church in 1978.
