Cagayan de Oro were congressional candidates were engaged in unusual behavior during a congressional forum in Cagayan. The supporters of reelectionist Congressman Rufus Rodriguez and City Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya were offended with each other’s heckling.
The heated debate resorted to a near fistfight of their supporters to settle their conflict. The conduct by running public officials were considered as a disgrace as thousands of people saw the conduct of both candidates.
The students on their part who were watching the debate at a university in Cagayan de Oro were dismayed by the scuffle, saying their elders should have behaved better and served as role models.
