Ara Galang & Abi Marano: MVP of the UAAP Women’s Volleyball 2013

Former top rookie Ara Galang was awarded and named as co-MVP with Abi Marano for the UAAP Women’s Volleyball Season 75. The former MVP Marano won his second straight MVP plum.

Ara Galang on her part, the former Rookie of the Year, won her first-ever UAAP Women’s Volleyball MVP award. Both Lady Spikers led their team to a 13-1 record in the elimination round and on the verge of a third straight championship.

Marano led La Salle defense and has an averaged 10.9 points highlighted by 3.1 blocks en route to winning the Best Blocker award while Galang normed 12.6 points off 9.6 kills, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 service aces.

Galang ranked as the no. 7th in scoring, 6th in blocking, 8th in attacking and 10th in digging.

The Men’s division, have also chosen their co-MVP’s with UST Mark Gil Alfafara and La Salle’s Red Christensen getting their MVP plum.

  1. Definitely, Ara Galang was the best player throughout the season. She have grown so much and bossomed to infinity and beyond!
