The Filipino world boxing champion Nonito Donaire will be facing one of the toughest opponent of his career against undefeated Cuban, Guillermo Rigondeaux for the unification world super-bantamweight title fight.
The match between two of the world’s most popular super-bantamweight will be held this coming April 13, 2013 at the Big Apple.
According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum the highly-anticipated mega-fight will be held at the 6,000-capacity Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York.
Although Top Rank did not release yet their official statement but Bob Arum promised to release an official statement regarding the details of the fight between Nonito Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux.
One of the Donaire’s most likely opponent Abner Mares is now out of contention for a possible match-up with Donaire but maybe in the next few games of the hottest Filipino boxer.
Nonito Donaire has an impressive record of 30-1-0 win-loss-draw record with 20 KO’s while Rigondeaux has a record of 11 wins 0 loss and 0 draws with 8 KO’s. Rigondeaux was also a two-time Olympic and two-time world amateur champion.
