Bureau of Fire Protection Site Hacked

A group of hackers strikes anew defacing the website of the Bureau of Fire Protection, days after m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive fires hit Metro Manila. When you visit the official website of the BFP, you will be greeted with a video of a man playing a saxophone.

The logo of the hacker group named “Hayate DevilzSec,” is also visible. The defacing of the website occurred after two m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive fires hit some residential areas in Quezon City and San Juan on Christmas Day.

Areas affected by m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive fires are in Barangay Bungad, Quezon City while a total of more than 2,000 families were homeless on Christmas day after a fire razed at least 500 houses in Brgy. St. Joseph in San Juan.

The hacker group who defaced the BFP website did not leave any other message pertaining to their reasons of attacking one of the Philippine government site.

Updates: Right now the BFP website have been restored and all visitors were redirected to the BFP Forum Site.

  1. This is disturbing. Maybe these people have something against the BFP that might have something to do with a past encounter with them. Or perhaps they simply did it to sympathize for the homeless families from the fire blaming the BFP for not acting quickly. I think it is not totally the BFP’s fault because there are several factors that could have caused the fire. And besides they need to travel from the station to the fire incidence location which will definitely take time considering the traffic in Manila. The people living there should have done something sincee they are the first responders of that situation.
