Typhoon Quinta Dec. 26 Hourly Update

PAG-ASA released the following updates of the Tropical Storm Quinta as it enters the Philippine Area of responsibility. As of press time there’s is no reported casualties but damages in the agricultural sectors were reported in affected areas especially in Eastern and Northern part of Central Visayas.

Here’s the hourly update from PAG-ASA:

  • 4:00 am Dec. 26, the center of Tropical Storm “QUINTA” was estimated in the vicinity of Pacijan Island, Cebu (10.7°N, 124.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move West at 20 kph.
  • At 10:00 a.m. today, 26 December 2012, the center of Tropical Depression “QUINTA” was estimated 10 km Northwest of Roxas City, Capiz (11.6°N, 122.6°E).
  • 11:00 A.M. Tropical Storm “QUINTA” has weakened into a Tropical Depression as it continues to move over Western Visayas.
