The Food and Drug Administration of South Korea have already recalled some South Korean made noodles which were found to be containing substances that are cancer-causing but were already sold in different Korean shops in the Philippines.
According to the Ec0Waste Coalition, the Korea Food and Drugs Administration have already ordered to recall the products listed by FDA which contained substances called benzopyrene.
The non-frofit group EcoWaste Coalition warned the public against buying Korean instant noodles, they have also tried to secure some alleged noodles who was recalled and confirmed that it was indeed sold in the Philippines in some Koren stores in Metro Manila.
The Korean FDA confirmed that there are 9 South Korean instant noodles recalled starting from October 25 after they have discovered the existence of the substance benzopyrene.
The substance benzopyrene according to theĀ US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is a probable human carcinogen and can increase the incidence of tumors.

- Nongshim’s Mild Neoguri
- Spicy Neoguri
- Neoguri Cup Noodles (large and small)
- Saewootang Cup Noodles (large)
- Seng Seng Udong
