San Beda Defeated Letran on NCAA Finals Game 1

The Red Lions draws first blood in the finals of the NCAA after they defeated the Letran Knights with the final score at 62-60 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday night.

Point guard Baser Amer, a sophomore student of the Red Lions made a spectacular performance pouring out 2o points, 6 rebounds and 3 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists to led the Lions on their first win against the surging Knights.

The Red Lions also ended the winning streak of the Letran Knights after they successfully defeated the San Sebastian Stags during the semi-finals of the NCAA Season 88.

The Letran Knights was led by Kevin Alas who scored with a total of 18 points while Racal and Cruz added with 14 and 11 points respectively.

The Lions now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three Finals, with Game 2 scheduled for October 20 at the Araneta Coliseum at around 5:30 P.M. (PST).
