Cebu Dancing Inmates Version Gangnam Style (Video)

Cebu’s most popular dancing inmates made another headlines as they performed their own version of the world’s most popular music video “Gangnam Style”.

The group of inmates from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) was dancing on the rain on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

According to the official statement posted on the video, “Due to insistent public demand, the world renowned dancing inmates of Cebu finally had their own version of Pys‘ Gangnam Style music video.”

The announcement can be seen at around 3:59 minutes on the YouTube video. The video will surely made it to the top trending videos in YouTube a few days from now.

The Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) inmates entertained guests with their ecstatic adoption of the Guinness World Record holder for the “Most Liked Video in YouTube.”

CPDRC choreographer Vince Rosales said that there are around 1,000 prisoners who joined the Cebu dancing inmates Gangnam Style music video and that it took them three days to practice for their latest dancing act.

The Cebu dancing inmates is known for dancing to other famous songs such as “We Are the Champion,” “Do the Hustle,” “Fire” “Jump,” “Billy Jean” “Ben,” “This Is It,” and “Nobody” to name a few.

Their first YouTube hit was in 2007 when they did “Thriller” which has more than 51 million views as of this writing.
