The Philippine Azkals will face Singapore today for the second stop of the Philippine team in their Asian tour to determine the current state of preparation for the upcoming Suzuki Cup. They will be facing a team which they didn’t defeated for the last two games.
The Singapore Lions have successfully defeated the Philippine Azkals during their last international friendly match on October 2011 wherein they were able to avenged their 1-1 draw against the Philippines during the 2010 Suzuki Cup.
One of the most prolific scorer for the Singaporean squad was striker Aleksandar Duric who scored 2 goals for Singapore during their two previous meetings. However on today’s game, Duric will not be available leaving the frontline to Fazrul Nawaz and skipper Shahril Ishak to step up their offense.
The Philippine Azkals on the other hand will welcome the service of one of the most popular player in the Azkal side, Stephan Schrock, one of the two Filipino-blooded footballer playing for Bundesliga Division 1 Team.
Meanwhile here’s the final line-up of the Philippine Azkals vs. Singapore:
Goalkeeper: Neil Etheridge
