Matt Gill: Boat Stranded in The Sea for 50 Days Across Atlantic

The sailor man named Matt Gill from Cornwall who took his boat on a trip across the Atlantic Ocean was rescued from his damaged boat, despite being stranded alone for nearly two months.

Matt Gill risked his life to repair his vessel through the instruction of worried friends until rescuers found him but he never raised the alarm when the mast of his catamaran snapped.

The 37-year-old, Matt Gill was skippering a friends boat from Antigua on a solo trip when it was battered by heavy storms – leaving a broken mast and damaged autopilot and communications equipment.

He even turned down the help of a p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing boat, because he was too concerned about losing his insurance, something he admitted to be “foolish in a way”.
