The Hobbit is a fantasy children’s book by J. R. R. Tolkien and it was published on September 21, 1937. The book was being nominated for the Carnegie Medal and received a prize from the New York Herald Tribune for best juvenile fiction and the book remains popular.
The book was recognized as a cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ic children’s literature and the adventures will begin this coming December 14, 2012 through Peter Jackson’s movie “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” The movie features the fantasy journeys to the Lonely Mountain by a group of hobbits to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.
