The Boston Celtics steps one closer to the conference finals after they successfully demolished the Philadelphia 76ers on Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals series with the final score at 101-85.
Celtics offense were strong enough that the defense of the Sixers collapsed in the final few minutes of the game. Boston now takes the lead with 3-2 advantage over the Sixers.
Brandon B(–foul word(s) removed–) led the Celtics scoring with a total of 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals; the much-needed points were supported by another performance from veteran big man Kevin Garnett who scored with a total of 20 points, and 6 rebounds while Pierce added with 16 points.
Sixers scoring came from Elton Brand who scored with 19 points added by Lavoy Allen with 12 points and Evan Turner with 11 points.
