Arnel Pineda: “Don’t Stop Believin” Documentary Showing on Tribeca Film Festival

“Life Begins at 40” that was the saying goes according to one of the famous rock star in the world today, Arnel Pineda. The Journey frontman’s documentary video was part of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. The documentary “Don’t Stop Believin'” is the Philippines entry to the Tribeca Film Festival. It tells about the story of Journey’s most popular member Arnel Pineda on his journey to stardom.

The title of the documentary was based upon the song “Don’t Stop Believin” one of the most popular hit popularized by the band Journey during the early days of their career. It is just one of the few hit songs that the Journey have released during the heights of the band’s career.

The film was directed by Filipino-American director Ramona Diaz, also the film maker behind the world-renowned film Imelda. The latest documentary from film maker Ramona Diaz detailed the journey of Arnel Pineda from an unknown personality to one of the most popular faces in the music industry.

The rock star Arnel Pineda made a detailed descriptions of his life as the frontman of Journey from an ordinary singer who onced begged the streets of Manila and even worked as an OFW in Japan to try his luck.

Everything that Arnel Pineda’s success was credited through his discovery with the social media site YouTube wherein his video was being spotted by Journey members and invited him for an audition and eventually got his dream job of landing a career in the music industry.

The 44-year-old Pineda stated also on the documentary about his exhaustion while were travelling from different cities but what keeps him from continuing was his dedication to help his family financially. He spends most of his vacation in Manila with his three boys an also expecting for a baby girl in July. Journey will resume their projects this coming July also.
