Angelina Jolie, passionate on her first directed film 'In the Land of Blood and Honey'

The United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie was set to release her first solo album which she wrote after traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The movie was entitled ‘In the Land of Milk and Honey,’ a movie depicting a love story of a soldier and a woman having a relationship before the war, and was set in Bosnia in the 1990’s.

Jolie said that she wanted to bring to light the atrocities, which included rapes and mass executions, and expose a time in history that received little attention from the outside world.

“It happened in our generation, in the ’90s, but not many people know about it.” “The movie is to bring the perspective of how the war affected different sides fighting against each other,” she added.

Jolie flaunted the idea of unity — after everything has been destroyed — is a lesson for all to learn.
