Just this December 23, 2011, Samsung has declared that Ice Cream Sandwich will not be available on Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab. But thanks to millions of Galaxy S users who demanded for an update, Samsung is now re-evaluating the older phone to receive such update.
According to Techie Buzz, Samsung has received heavy criticism on their plan of excluding Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab from the Android 4.0 update.
Samsung explained that the older phone is not capable of TouchWiz related enhancement due to lack of system memory. On the other hand, Samsung Nexus, a new brand of Samsung phone will receive an update when Android 4.0 released.
Many think that Nexus and Galaxy S share the same specs and Samsung should consider it as will.
Meanwhile, if you acquire Samsung Galaxy S2, you will not have to worry about this update because it will be available on this line.
