Donald Trump Leaves Republican Party, Planning to Run for US President as Independent

Real State Mogul and TV Personality Donald Trump change his voter’s registration from Republican to independent in his home state of New York. The said move of the billionaire Trump was suspected as a precursor to the upcoming third-party presidential run for the 2012 US election.

It was reported earlier that Donald Trump will host a gathering of Republicans in a forum which sets to showcase the different candidates of the Republicans.

Donald Trump was scheduled to moderate the debate which is set this coming December 27, 2011. All those who were invited agreed to attend except the two candidates. Those who were scheduled to attend were Former M(–foul word(s) removed–)achusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Texas Governor Rick Perry and U.S. Representatives Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann.

The other Republican candidates who were scheduled to met with Trump and other co-Republicans were Former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Senator Rick Santorum.

According to Trump’s spokesman, Michael Cohen, he was quoted as “Mr. Trump has said for almost a year that if he is not satisfied with who the Republican candidate is, he may elect to run as an independent,” Cohen said.

Donald Trump was the Chairman and President of the Trump Organization. The multi-billionaire investor graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and started his career in an office shared with his father.
