At around 7:47 PM local time the southern city of Mexico was hit a strong 6.5 magnitude earthquake killing at least two people and made the residents as far as Mexico City startling. The earthquake hit the city of Guerero in southern Mexico.
U.S. Geological Survey an the state media had confirmed that tremor – which was 40 miles (65km) deep hit the State of Guerero, about 100 miles south-southwest of the capital. The earthquake was previously reported at 6.7 magnitude.
Mexico’s State Media Notimex News Media had reported that there were already two fatalities of the earthquake that hit Mexico.
One of the victims that was being killed during the earthquake was on his vehicle when a rock fell into it and the other one was crushed in a house that collapsed during the tremors.
Telemundo had reported in full details the victims of the recent earthquake. One of the victim was an 11-year old child when the roof of a taqueria collapsed in Iguala, near the epicenter.
The other victim was the driver of a Ford truck on the Sol Highway between Acapulco and Mexico City. The driver which is still unnamed was killed when a boulder was dislodged by the quake and hit their truck.
The driver’s p(–foul word(s) removed–)enger women who were with him during the incident was immediately brought to the nearby hospital suffering wounds which is currently being treated by medical personnel rescuing the area.
