Former Charlie’s Angels star Demi Moore confirmed on Thursday through the (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated Press that she is ending her six years marriage with Two and a Half Man actor Ashton Kutcher after months of speculations that the couples were in a verge of divorce.
The 43-years-old Demi Moore is older than his husband Ashton Kutcher who is only 33 years old and have been married since September 2005. Age difference between the couple were not an issue since they were together.
Demi Moore was quoted as saying that “”It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.” Moore said.
The veteran actress adds further that “This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same comp(–foul word(s) removed–)ion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation,” Demi Moore stated.
Meanwhile Ashton Kutcher used the micro-blogging site Twitter to voice out his side regarding the issue of divorce with Demi Moore. He tweeted that, “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi,” Kutcher said.
There were speculations that the reasons for the divorce was the infidelity issue of Ashton Kutcher while Kutcher accused Demi Moore of being a bisexual.
For the past five years Kutcher became the step-father of Moore’s three daughters namely — Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Belle — from her 13-year marriage to actor Bruce Willis. Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have been married for 13 years but divorced last 2000.
The couple Moore and Kutcher were also instrumental for the formation of DNA Foundation, also known as the Demi and Ashton Foundation, in 2010. The foundation was formed to combat organized sexual exploitation of girls around the globe.
The foundation had also supported the United Nations’ efforts against human trafficking, a scourge the international organization estimates affects about 2.5 million people worldwide.
