Donaire holds audition for National Anthem Singer

This once is a lifetime opportunity is Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire way of looking for someone who could sing for his upcoming Bantamweight Title defend against the undefeated Argentine boxer Omar Andres Narvaez.

Coming from the official Facebook page of Donaire, it was posted there that he had been looking for someone who can sing the Philippine National Anthem, with no age limit and without any further requirements as long as you are a Filipino who can sing the anthem and you are residing in either of the three (3) mentioned states.

The said singing opportunity will give the chosen one the chance to be seen via HBO plus the fact that he/she will be watched around the globe.

The said bout which was scheduled to be held at Madison Square Garden, New York, the place coined as “The Mecca of Boxing”, and the last Filipino reigning boxer who had fought in MSG was Gabriel “Flash” Elorde.

The auditions for the next Philippine Anthem Singer will be based on the Youtube video that the aspirant must post. The winner will be announced on October 15 during the scheduled public workout of Donaire.

As reported, this fight against Narvaez might be the last for Donaire for his current weight division as he had expressed his plans of getting into much heavier weight for his next fight.

Current names who were eyed to be Donaire’s next hopefully next year includes Juan Manuel Marquez who will be facing the “World’s pound-for-pound King” Manny Pacquiao by Novemeber and Toshiaki Nishioka from Japan.
