Westlife band’s concert held at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines on Thursday garnered a remarkable response from the Filipino fans in the country.
In spite of the expectation that Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will join during the concert, but because of the hectic schedule of the boxing champ in preparing for the upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada he cannot join the concert.
Nicky Byrne explained that because of the Filipino boxing champion’s preparation for the coming fight he could not able to join the concert. Pacman cannot easily get out from his training camp. His coach Freddie Roach will surely not allow him to skip his training.
Members of Westlife band has also praise the singing charm of the Filipina YouTube singing sensation Charice Pempengco. The group is interested to work with the Filipina international singer.
“We’re a big fan of her, and I talking to her on Twitter, she said she’s also a Westlife fan. She’s got a phenomenal voice, world cl(–foul word(s) removed–),” Mark Feehily said.
Westlife concert in the country became successful. Fans warmly welcome them. Some of the fans were posting messages in Twitter and Facebook praising them.
